My thoughts on life, design, kitty cats and other such nonsense. Nothing too serious.

HDR funtimes.

I’ve seen a lot of HDR imagery on the web and it varies in quality drastically. I thought I’d give it a bash and see how it came out. I created this using Auto Exposure Bracketing (as opposed to a RAW image) on my Canon 1000D. Please excuse the lame self-portrait.

HDR Me.

I’m not amazed at the outcome (some of these are, however, amazing) but there’s a quality I particularly like about this image; I think it’s the level of detail (ahem, focus) in some areas, such as the hood.

My major gripe with the majority of HDR photography is the fantasy feel to a lot of them - I think it’s a bit naff - but some shots (in particular portraits) are just stunning.
