Should there even be a website at all?
What exactly are the key areas of interaction? What are the most interesting points of view? What I mean is what combination of camera units, iPhone app and website work? Would the entire project be more exciting if the whole point was that you explicitly watched back the footage on your iPhone/iPod touch?
Thinking about it if you have an iPhone you will likely want to share your video it with your friends simply by showing it to them; you’ll likely have your iPhone with you anyway which also integrates the option of sharing on Facebook or youTube - is that enough for a desktop version?
Or is a website a crucial element in the grand scheme of things? Today I plan to work out exactly what I’m going to be producing. Am I going to create a functioning iPhone app (or webApp) alongside the camera prototype (which is a given) and simply mock the website as a video or images. Or will I tackle things the other way around, the iPhone app being the video?
Time is a major constraint on what I produce so I’ll need to bear that in mind; two blocks of 3 weeks for the make phase is not a lot…
