Spent 5 minutes brainstorming the possible functionality of an iPhone app which could be used in conjunction with the system. The app could potentially have the following features:

• Streaming viewing of the most recently captured complete run including: the compiled Animoto video (see below for an Animoto example, also not an option yet as no API exists but for concept purposes just now this is fine) and the unedited footage from each camera on the run.
• Offline viewing for watched video (saves the video to the device). Unlimited (except by device capacity) storage.
• Share any video online via social networks such as Facebook or YouTube.
• Live weather reports for participating resorts.
• In-App purchases, for example a “ski+camera” pass.

Animoto is a website which creates dynamic and exciting unique photo slideshows which change according to the music track played on top. Recently they introduced the ability to create slideshows which incorporated video clips. If an API were introduced this service could be used to create the ‘edited’ video of the run with a music track which would be a more exciting video to share with friends. An example of an Animoto slideshow is shown below.
