My thoughts on life, design, kitty cats and other such nonsense. Nothing too serious.

It’s lunchtime and so far today I have managed to extract (or rather understand) the Wii connecting code from the IDEO project I’ve been ripping. It’s all Greek (or should I say Japanese) to me; the code is badly commented, the documentation is minimal and, well, what little documentation there is is written in Japanese…
Anyway, I am beginning to merge my various classes together now. So far I have a class which communicates with the stepper motor via Arduino and now a class which connects to, and reads the values of the WiiMote. Woo!
The only IR LEDs I have access to just now, however, are Remote Controls. This is fine as it works but the LEDs flash rather than stay permanently illuminated meaning I’m getting some rather flickery results. Nevertheless, the flicks I am getting seem to correlate to my movements quite nicely and it seems to just be a matter of working out the maths in order to centre everything nicely.
