Freaking. Out.
Today has not been good. I managed to not only achieve nearly nothing on my list of things I wanted to do but I also managed to destroy one of the servos in the pan tilt unit which now needs replaced. Mike has lent me one for the time being and I think I’ve fixed things but it still feels like I have taken the baby-est of baby steps forward today.

Technology Fail.
Can one piece of technology PLEASE work like it’s supposed to today. Currently tasks which should take 10 minutes are taking 4 hours. I hate studio kit.

WatchKaty managed to pick up some IR LEDs from Maplin when she was home over the weekend for me. After successfully blowing up two of the few seven I had I succeeded in creating an ‘IR pen’ - i.e: an empty biro with an LED and a resistor soldered together inside.
Now I have a constant, non-flashing, IR source (but still without my second stepper motor) I can start building the second part...

Fun times with Emma
Spent the weekend away in Aberfoyle with Emma. For valentines / Christmas she bought me a voucher for GoApe, a ‘in-the-trees’ adventure park with Scotland’s longest and highest zip line! We went there during the day and spent the night in a lovely little hotel in Callander. I also ate a fish which was served with a head. Freaked me out a little but was yummy.
